Welcome to the

Remember 9-11 Ride, Inc.

website!

Yes, we are ON!!!  See you in Rye, NY about 11AM!!!

We will be meeting in Rye, NY, and riding in from there on Saturday, September 4, 2010, at 11AM going KSU at 12:00 Noon.  We have been able to confirm a location.  We need an idea of how many riders we will have.  Please email us at remember911ride@aol.com with your number of riders and we will send you the details.  Please email by Thursday, September 2nd.  We will meet in the parking lot behind the Courtyard Marriott at the bottom of the ramp.  Please be respectful of our hosts!!!  Please plan to arrive after 11:00 but by 11:30.

We will not be able to ride through CT as a group this year.  This has presented some challenges.  If you would like to lead a group to the Rye starting location please email us at remember911ride@aol.com.  The CT State Police have asked us to limit the size of groups and remind us to follow all traffic laws.  Groups of up to 12 or 15 should be OK.  If your group is larger than 15 please split into two groups. Please adhere to this.

The 2009 Ride took place on Sunday, September 6, 2009.  It was a great day for a ride with perfect weather.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the individuals and the families of those involved in the accident.
Thanks to all of the volunteers who made the ride such a success this year at registration, parking and on the road!

Thanks also to the Glenville Volunteer Fire Department and the people of Greenwich, CT, for hosting a ride stop and starting place!

Thanks to all the Motor Officers, the CT State Police and the NYPD for their help with our safety escort!

The 2008 ride took place on Saturday, October 4th and we had another good ride! The weather cooperated although it was a little chilly at the beginning and the end of the day.

If you took pictures or have video we would appreciate copies!  Please mail them to:

God Bless you!

God Bless America!

On September 11, 2001, a terrible tragedy was perpetrated on the United States. Over 3,000 innocent people were murdered. Numerous firefighters, police officers and other emergency personnel gave their lives in an effort to save others!

On October 6, 2002, a handful of friends planned to get together to honor those who died with a ride from Boston, MA, through Hartford, CT, to Ground Zero in New York City. The "handful" of friends ended up being over 200 bikes!

This great tribute to the innocent victims of 9-11-01 was surpassed by the overwhelming turnout for the second annual Remember 9-11 Ride that was held on September 21, 2003! 2046 people registered and rode from Hopkinton, MA, and Wallingford and Greenwich, CT, to Ground Zero and the Hell's Kitchen Firehouse in New York City!

The First Remember 9-11 Ride was held on Sunday, October 6, 2002. The second ride was held on Sunday, September 21, 2003, The good Lord Blessed us with beautiful days for both rides and the people of New York were pleased for our support! Motorcyclists from as far away as Toronto and New Brunswick, Canada joined riders from New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Vermont.

The third annual Remember 9-11 Ride took place on Sunday, September 19, 2004. The ride staged in Hopkinton, MA, and at the Connecticut 9-11 Memorial site at Sherwood Isle State Park. Over three hundred riders participated and enjoyed another spectacular day, ending up at Coney Island in NYC.

The fourth annual ride was held on Saturday, September 10, 2005. Once again we had a great day for the ride. Our CT SP motor escort did a great job getting us safely through CT and our NYPD escort did a stellar job getting us through the City. We took time to reflect at Ground Zero...it's hard to believe it will soon be five years ago that war was declared on US!

PLEASE CHECK HERE IN AUGUST FOR AN UPDATED LIST OF MEETING PLACES!!!
